The Chimney Plug is a mix of reinforced concrete and heat resistant chemicals. The Flue Pot Plug weights around 6kg and sits on top of heat shields gasket that is placed on the top of flue pot. This plug is only for unused chimneys.

Really Pleased with Product and Service

Well Done to the staff at Ted Johnsons.
I was delighted to find this online with a local retailer. With a busy week ahead I ordered it to be delivered but found I had to run an errand in Naas. I called the shop and asked if I could pick it up instead. The person I spoke to was friendly and efficient and said that they were just about to pack it and of course I could pick it up. When I got there it was waiting for me and a member of staff very courteously carried it to the car for me 10/10
As for the product it is of good quality, easy to fit and was the perfect size. I'm capping the flue on a chimney of a blocked up fireplace and a second on an unused fireplace that was only causing a draft and allowing heat to escape. Really please that this is available and both chimney pots are winter ready.
Overall, I Ted Johnsons wasn't on my radar for such purchases but with this experience I will be back.
