Trade Counter Sales Person:

We are recruiting for a Trade Counter Sales Person preferably with a minimum of 2 years experience, based at our premises in Naas, Co. Kildare. The primary role will be to perform duties at the Trade Counter in day to day sales and enquiries, in a customer facing role.

Our trade counter is an integral part of our business where our team’s expertise and knowledge are called upon to solve problems and procure/supply product for our customers technical needs.

These customers include maintenance crews from many of the local industries and manufacturing plants, Co Councils, plumbers, electricians, engineers, and fitters etc.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Serving customers at the Trade Counter
  • Dealing with telephone, e-mail & internet queries
  • Processing sales orders and cash/credit card transactions
  • Using in house computer system
  • Participate in staff and product training.
  • Preparing customer quotations and following up on same
  • Working as part of a team across all aspects of the business
  • Providing technical advice to our customers across all product ranges
  • Handle returns and complaints

Qualifications And Skills

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in Trade Counter Sales in the DIY/Hardware industry
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships with customers and within the team
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English essential.
  • Computer Literacy
  • Become part of the highly motivated team already in place.
  • Considerable knowledge of DIY, plumbing, hand & power tools, workwear.
